Business Analyst

Position Description
We are hiring a Sr. Business Analyst to join our project team in Baltimore, MD to work alongside other analysts and SMEs, reporting directly to the Project Manager and Scrum Master.

Principal tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes and performing user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, the business analyst should be intuitively analytical and comfortable explaining complex concepts to non-technical users.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
• Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
• Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
• Performing requirements analysis
• Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
• Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
• Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements
• Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users
• Performing user acceptance testing

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience OR Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience
• Strong team player
• Advanced documentation skills for creating BRDs, FSDs
• Proven ability to create business use cases, test cases, and flow diagrams
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of writing up SQL queries
• Current/prior experience in the federal space, specifically the Social Security Administration.
