Black Hawk Airworthiness Analyst

Position Description
We are currently looking for one with significant DO-178 process experience.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Support Software Integration and qualification efforts within the group
• Support Program Team Leads responsible for managing technical helicopter development, integration, qualification, production, modification, fielding, and sustainment
• Ensure programs follow Systems Engineering processes to include system development and item specifications
• Assist in the assessment of helicopter product performance and verification of requirements
• Support major program technical reviews: Systems Requirements Reviews (SRRs), Systems Functional Reviews (SFRs), Preliminary Design Review (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs)
• Interface with and brief customers
• Be able to travel <10%

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• A Bachelor’s Degree (technical preferred) from an accredited college with 10 years of direct experience is required. A strong work ethic, the ability to work effectively with others and a healthy desire to acquire new skills are paramount in this position.
• General aircraft experience (UH-60 series aircraft experience preferred)
• A solid understanding of the DO-178 Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification process
Candidates should also have the following:
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required, per Federal stipulation.
• Experience with / understanding of Army Aviation development programs is desired, i.e. UH-60 helicopter systems, subsystems, and mission kits and their integration aspects, to include software
• Understanding of the Systems Engineering process (Requirements development, decomposition and verification).
• General knowledge of program management, technical management, and systems engineering processes and procedures
