We are currently seeking candidates to join our successful Federal organization as a BigFix Engineer supporting our DHS CDM DEFEND program. This is a dynamic position on a high performing team working to deploy the next generation of cyber security technologies for a strategic federal customer. You will enhance the cyber security posture of seven (7) civilian government agencies through improved implementation and enhancement of network monitoring and control tools and processes. You will actively identify and mitigate a wide range of cyber risks and will also work closely with a variety of agency stakeholders, supporting their mission, priorities, organization, and unique challenges. This opportunity will support a dynamic, fast-paced, and energetic project focused on improving federal cybersecurity at the agencies over the next several years.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Serve as a subject matter expert, possessing in-depth knowledge in BigFix.
• Apply principles, methods, and knowledge of BigFix to specific task order requirements.
• Work with customer teams, support current tasks and activities, and participate in technical meetings with customer’s technical specialists.
• Lead customer engineering teams.
• Design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills to team members as needed.
• Work closely with customer delivery managers to prioritize daily tasks.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for incidents relating to security tools/solutions.
• Continuously improve customers’ security deployments and integrate new technologies and services.
• Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
• Participate as needed in all phases of software development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience administering Windows, Linux and/or virtual infrastructure to include installation, configuration and maintenance of enterprise networks. Candidates with a Master’s degree must have at least 4 years of experience.
• Extensive experience in implementing BigFix.
• Extensive experience in implementing and managing boundary defense technologies to include firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP and other. Specific knowledge of Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco and Fortinet firewall appliances.
• Proven ability to work closely with customer’s network and operations team to resolve issues or security concerns of tools/services.
• An extensive understanding and experience in implementing static/dynamic testing tools, web and database security assessment tools, for example: IBM Appscan, Fortify, Checkmarx, BurpSuite, Appdetective, Guardium.
• Experience with SIEM technologies and managing suite of tools to include Splunk Enterprise Security, QRadar, HP ArcSight and LogRhythm.
• Must be able to pass a CGI background check to start employment as well as obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
• Security relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security, CEH.
• Understanding of federal cyber security guidance such as NIST SP 800-37 - Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems: a Security Life Cycle Approach and NIST 800-137 - Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations. Understanding of the DHS Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation Program (CDM).
• Experienced with one or more the following tools: SailPoint, CyberArk, CA PAM, Oracle IAM, Centrify, Radiant Logic and similar tools
