Bouygues Travaux Publics is building two new nuclear reactors at Hinkley Point C in Somerset, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low-carbon electricity for around six million homes. Hinkley Point C is currently one of the largest construction project in Europe.

VIE missions:
The BYLOR Reinforcement prefabrication yard was set up to provide to the Construction Delivery Teams all the prefabricated reinforcement cages they need to allow them to minimise risk on quality (cages are built in a more controlled environment), and on programme (works are carried out on site, but outside of the critical path as everything is done ahead of need date).

The Prefabrication Engineer would take responsibility of a scope of the permanent works: when a reinforcement design is released by the client, it is attributed to one of the prefabrication engineers who is then in charge of it from the handover of the design to the delivery of the finished cage.

This includes:
Being the main point of contact for the Construction Delivery Team in the reinforcement yard: reception of design and prefabrication strategy for scope from Delivery Team, design improvement proposition and implementation, programme update, etc…
Conducting an analysis of the reinforcement design in conjunction with the construction manager to determine the best way of prefabricating the cages,
Preparing the temporary works design input with the Methods team and liaise with the Temporary Works department to get the full temporary works design developed and approved,
Procurement of any elements necessary for the works through the Procurement Department,
Planning of the activities on the yard with the cranes and workstations to meet programme requirements from the Delivery Teams,
Production follow up and productivity analysis.

- Bac+5 (Engineering studies : civil engineering);
- You are fluent in English (written, spoken).
- Confirmed interest in construction, with previouos experience in the field.
- You are autonomous, full of energy and have a good communications skills
