FUNCTION/ DEPARTMENT: CIB FINANCE - EMEA.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB : Implementing and maintaining a strong control environment through the monthly PnL Reconciliation and FX position reconciliation for all SPAIN entities under CIB Finance EMEA Hub Supervision scope.

LOCATION: The position will be located in the Madrid-based Finance EMEA platform.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION :

· Implementing the 1 st and 2 nd level controls in the European entities and at the level of the regional Finance platform, especially with regards to:
· Account certification covering all B/S & OBS accounts
· PnL reconciliations between economical and accounting results
· FX position reconciliations between the G/L and MO/BO systems
· Treasury Reconciliations between MO systems and Draconis (Performance Management system)
· OCI reconciliation between the G/L and MO/BO systems
· FINANCE INTERNAL CONTROL COMMITTEES
· hold regular (at least quarterly) Internal Control Committee meetings with the countries of the scope to review the accounting control issues giving the specific feedback of the PnL and Fx,
· hold ad-hoc meetings with local Finance as and when needed
· REPORTING
· To the local COOs and CFOs , she/he will send synthetic reports to inform them of the quality of PnL Reconciliation, Fx Reconciliation, Treasury Reconciliation and OCI Reconciliation in their location.
· SYSTEMS

Promote the relevant systems, automation or standardization processes in order to improve the efficiency and the quality of the accounting control environment in the region (e.g. the AC2 control certification tool, the PnL reconciliation standard procedure...)

Perfil buscado

Qualifications :

PERSONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

·  Strong control background and ability to question and challenge the information received.
·  Qualified accountant
·  Critical need for accuracy and reliability
·  Good organisation skills
·  Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
·  Excellent command of the English language
·  Good knowledge of the Spanish language is necessary
·  Knowledge of the French language would be a plus

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

·  Knowledge of banking and CIB activities and products
·  Experience in Financial & Accounting audit would be a plus
