ACCOUNTING CONTROLS – ARRC Analyst

DEPARTMENT: CIB FINANCE

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Contribute to implement and maintain a strong control environment in ARRC Team:

· At the level of Finance.

· In all Regions / entities under CIB supervision, in order to guarantee the high quality of the financial data reported to the Head Office and to local authorities.

· To support the Accounting Controls team in the Regions.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION: Key responsibilities of the role:

· Acquire a strong knowledge of the accounting control set up quality in the regions/entities placed under your scope.

Detailed responsibilities

Accounting Control Plan :

· Ensure the accounting controls plan defined by Group Finance is properly rolled out and monitored in the regions/entities placed under your coverage.

· Perform on-site audits (travels to be expected) of the controls set-up in the regions/entities under your coverage.

· Report any defects/deficiencies identified in the accounting controls set up.

· Ensuring Regional Finance teams (located in the sites) comply with their control obligations, and that they have fully implemented the Group Accounting Control Plan and all procedures prescribed by Group and CIB Finance.

FACT:

· To obtain and analyse FACT Certificates from the different entities/regions

· To have a good knowledge of the problems of the entities/ regions

· To contribute to prepare the related reports

Recommendations:

· Monitor recommendations proposed and issued by General Inspection / Internal Audit, Regulators and external auditors to CIB Finance teams in the regions.

Operational Risk Incidents:

· Follow up operational risk incidents which involve Finance.

Finance Internal Control Committes:

· Hold regular (at least quarterly) Internal Control Committee meetings with the regions/entities of the scope to review the accounting control issues.

· Hold ad-hoc meetings with Regional Finance as and when needed.

Liquidity and RWA:

· To ensure that the Group and CIB Finance Controls Plans are properly rolled-out

· To review the 1LC evidences and report any defects/deficiencies identified.

· Contribute in the FACT reporting process on HO reporting process.

PERSONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

· Control oriented
· Strong accounting expertise
· English complete working proficiency
· Knowledge of the French language would be a plus
· Team work & communication skills (spoken and written)
· Willing to travel abroad
· Rigorous, reliable, well-organized and methodical
· Strong ability to work under tight deadlines
