Objectives:
·  The position in BASF Procurement - China Hub and is responsible for procurement sourcing of assigned products and services of indirect procurement with defined thresholds for the site and the site account management for coordination of all procurement activities among sites and other teams. To develop strong working relationships with key internal stake holders to support business growth, mitigate risks, and reduce costs. Main Tasks:
·  Sourcing for indirect procurement:
·  Handle open PRs of sites for assigned products and services of indirect procurement with defined thresholds, to do sourcing activity
·  Imitate bidding process, negotiate with supplier on competitive price, payment term, delivery term etc. all commercial items
·  Knowledge of local market intelligence and develop local potential supplier via working with related category buyer
·  Down-payment process handling
·  Paper contract & Outline agreement process handling
·  Synergy capture & supplier management if needed cross category or cross sites
·  Procurement sourcing for local categories or dedicated categories:
·  Expert for local supplier market and developing the procurement strategy by market intelligence gains and forecast the effect on the companies on cost and behaviors from changing market status.
·  Internal business partner management with sites:
·  Manage regular site service dialogs and drive site activity plans; represents Procurement to site and reviews performance with site management
·  Support coordination of emergencies at sites and act as contact for local compliance topics
·  General knowledge in all procurement classes and In-depth knowledge of site-related topics;
·  Contact for Procurement organization for site-specific topics and drives site-specific measures and projects
·  Field support for all category types
·  Collaboration with global / regional teams on a more project-based approach on:
·  Local supplier identification
·  Supplier management and development
·  Consolidation of demand information
·  Language and cultural support
·  Supports category teams in a project-based way and with pre-aligned capacity
·  New investment project support
·  Work close with project team to providing professional expertise, including market information, pre-costing and supplier recommendation to support new investment needs.
·  In case of small capex projects, site buyer takes over the project management from procurement perspective.
·  EHS and Responsible Care
·  To implement the company's EHS standard and Responsible Care scheme during day-to-day work with external service providers. Requirements:
·  University degree, preferably in chemicals or relevant.
·  Minimum 5 years working experience and procurement experience is a plus
·  Working at the business organization at a multi-group company for chemical industry is preferred.
·  Good command of English both in verbal and written
·  Good communication skills, ability to lead by influence, convincing skills.
