Job description

The Catalysts Division is the world's leading supplier of environmental and process catalysts. We develop technologies for air protection, fuel production and for efficient manufacturing of chemicals and other products, including battery materials. RESPONSIBILITIES

During this 6 month internship in De Meern, starting in 2019, you will become a valuable member of our engineering team. You will support the production team.

·  You will have the possibility to put your theoretical knowledge from university into practice.
·  You will optimize the processes (cycle times, waste reduction etc.).
·  You will also support plant changes in collaboration with other departments (e.g. Process Management, Maintenance & Engineering etc.)
·  Furthermore, you will be supporting ongoing studies and projects which will be carried out by the BASF Nederland engineering team.
·  You will get interesting insights into a multicultural working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  You are in an advanced stage of your studies in chemical engineering at a European University where you showed an above average study performance and have engaged in extracurricular activities.
·  You are a proficient English speaker with an academic background and a passion for mechanical engineering? Then you might be the perfect match for our international internship program in De Meern!
·  You have already had the chance to gather practical experience abroad and are ready to learn another language (Dutch).
·  In addition, you are an innovative team-player who contributes to creative solutions and who has gained practical experience within the industry.
·  Please submit your full set of documents, including: Letter of motivation, containing details about your career goals and timescale. Furthermore, your CV in English as well as all relevant certificates and references in original language.
