Job description
Work in the BASF Analytical North America Separations group. Intern will participate in analyses for product development, plant support, resolving customer issues, environmental protection and worker health & safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
During this 6 months internship in Wyandotte USA, starting in 2020, you will learn to perform quantitative chromatographic analysis to assist the Analytical Separations & Ecology Team in supporting R&D, meeting regulatory requirements and providing technical support to customers.
· You will assist in the development of more sustainable products and methods.
· You will learn to work independently and diligently in a professional environment.
· Furthermore, you will participate in digitalization & connectivity efforts in the laboratories.
· You will be using state-of-the-art technologies to help establishing analytical methods.
· Taking responsibility for your working results right from the start of your internship rounds up your tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
· You are currently enrolled in your bachelor or master studies in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering at a European university where you showed an above average performance.
· Ideally, you have lab working experience.
· You have already had the opportunity to gather practical experience abroad and are able to communicate in English. Speaking an additional foreign language will be considered a plus.
· In addition, you are an innovative team-player, who seeks creative solutions to chemical problems.
