Job description



The Global Engineering Services Division is responsible for the implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the various corporate divisions by providing expert services throughout the plant's life cycle, such as automation, process or mechanical engineering. We push forward innovations in all areas of the chemical industry - and turn laboratory developments into worldwide production plants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our E&I engineering unit looks after modern, adequate electrical power and automation technology for our production facilities and investment projects so that our operations can focus on their core activities.

·  You are planning investment projects and plant modifications for the field of electrical energy supply in the area of low, medium and high voltage.
·  In coordination with the project management, you undertake subtasks of conceptual and detailed planning.
·  You create and revise overview diagrams, dimension resources and display them. In addition, you perform network calculations.
·  For the procurement of equipment you create the specifications, participate in the procurement negotiations and take part in factory tests.
·  Last but not least, you guide the suppliers in the context of project management and check the supplier documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Degree in electrical engineering
·  Several years of relevant professional experience
·  Sound knowledge in the field of electrical power supply or high-voltage engineering
·  Experience in project management and plant design
·  Identification of the needs of customers and partners and development of creative solutions
·  Authentic communication in German and English so that you can actively contribute to the team
