Position Summary

AXA Group Investment Solutions (GIS) team (part of AXA GIE) is seeking an investment solutions analyst alternate who will join one of the 3 teams reporting to Group Chief Investment Officer. GIS is a small (3 people currently) but very exposed team whose mission is to support AXA entities on optimizing investment and hedging strategies notably through the use of financial derivatives under accounting, capital and liquidity constraints. The team is also in charge of coordinating the management of entities' FX positions and the management of the securities lending program which requires very frequent interactions with local Chief Investment Officers (CIOs) and their teams.

You should have strong quantitative and communication skills, and be able to be proactive in advancing specific topics. After 12 months in this position there is a potential opportunity to obtain a full-time position within the team.

Your responsibilities

· Market Monitoring:
Design, maintenance and automation of specific tools based on Bloomberg or other data sources to follow key market metrics (implied volatility levels, cross currency basis, FX hedging costs, CDS index spreads, credit index implied correlation) to support analysis and decision on investments/ hedging.
· Quantitative Analysis:
· Perform quantitative assessment of financial risks or exposures for the purpose of supporting GIS interactions with insurance entities around the world and Group management
· Strengthen some key reporting notably Group FX report with the support of group data team
· Develop tools to support investment decisions on FX strategies based on several market factors
· Perform quantitative performance analysis on FX strategies against an internal benchmark
· Presentation:
Use quantitative analysis to support GIS presentations in Investment Solutions calls (local CIOs attending), Group Investment Committee (top management attending) and other GIS presentations

Qualifications :

Professional and technical skills:
·  Working towards a Master's degree engineering or finance
·  Strong knowledge of Excel and VBA required, knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
·  Strong interest in the financial markets and derivatives
·  Analytical skills / ability to evolve in a complex and diverse technical environment
·  Fluent in English and French - both written and spoken; Interpersonal skills:
·  Largely autonomous in building quantitative tools; however other team members who have solid financial markets experience will support in learning on markets and products
·  Ability to interact with various people internally including through conference calls to discuss analysis
·  Results oriented, rigorous, intellectual appetite for robust and reliable quantitative analysis
·  Eager to learn and progress; proactive in asking questions
·  Motivated by an international and dynamic environment
