Since the financial crisis in 2008 regulation bodies require that financial institutions set up adequate governance, processes and systems to ensure data accuracy and relevant reports on which the management may base the risk assessment. Despite this pressing need for strong controls we still face data management challenges struggling with fragmentation, silos and a lack of clear and robust governance processes to manage data quality.

On this basis, it has been decided to create the Asset Data Management team (Aka ADM) which is responsible for enhancing governance robustness around investment data:
· Deployment and integration of a set of rules, policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.
· Define roles and accountabilities (data steward network)
· Ensure proactive implementation of data quality standards and dashboards within the Group.

ADM team is sponsored by both Group Risk and Finance departments which are Asset Data Governance members who are unified by a common goal: to ensure that data is what it is supposed to be (Data Quality), data is in the correct context (Data Integrity), data and its associated metadata are accessible (Data Usability).

Primary mission:

As a key member of the ADM Team, the Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for ensuring proactive implementation of data quality standards and rules within the Group Risk and Finance departments (GRM, GIA and PBRC), ensuring improved data quality and visibility/transparency of the data quality process.

As data quality process subject matter expert, the Data Quality Analyst will work closely with IT and business functions (data stewards network) to provide process and technical support on an as needed basis for data quality analysis, monitoring, and remediation to drive improved compliance.

Key accountabilities

· Drive business adoption of data quality activities:
· Develop and motivate a network of data quality practitioners as direct and indirect reports
· Establish, communicate, and lead the adoption of Data Quality standards and best practices across the Group (e.g. business dictionary, appropriate documentation and controls library), influencing Data stewards to adopt programs and projects to achieve efficiencies
· Co-Leads implementation of active data governance and data quality system controls together with Data Stewards to increase efficiencies and mitigate risks
· Define a roadmap to drive data quality improvement

· Perform data quality activities
· Perform root cause analysis and issue mitigation in collaboration with Data stewards to define remediation plans and 2 nd line of defense monitoring.
· Define metrics (KPI's and KRI's) together with Data stewards to measure and monitor data quality
· Own and manage data quality dashboards to ensure the following data quality dimensions: freshness, completeness, conformity, consistency, integrity and accuracy
· Provide recommendation to the Data stewards and Data Governance bodies
· Incorporate an automated Data Quality capability, starting with Master Data Management solutions

Profil recherché

Qualifications :

Background and experience:
·  From 3 to 7 years of experience working within the Finance or Risk functions
·  Proven experience implementing policies and procedures
·  Experience in data quality (DQ value, DQ processes and approach, DQ tools)
·  Knowledge in data related activities (metadata, data governance, master data management)
·  Ideally experience with master data management, data dictionary, data analytics and data profiling
Technical and professional skills:
·  Good knowledge of financial markets and instruments
·  Good understanding of data administration and management functions
·  Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills
·  Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel expertise and VBA knowledge is a plus)
·  Familiar with modern database and information system technologies

Soft skills and competencies:
·  Demonstrated ability to lead and support projects from beginning to end.
·  Highly collaborative team-oriented, who has proven ability to build relationships with technical and business resources
·  Self-motivated and proactive, ability to work independently with minimal direct guidance, delivering solid action-oriented results quickly implemented.
·  An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills proven the ability to identify, quantify and effectively raise business risks.
