·  Job Title: VMWARE Virtualization administrator for Atos Global IT
·  Job Country: India
·  Working Hours: Full Time job shifts to cover Business extended hours
·  Job Level (GCM Grade): GCM level 3

Most common assignments that the work with include:

·  Collaborate in the availability and good performance of the VMWARE platforms

   (cluster in Dual Datacenter mode) making sure existing SLAs are honoured

·  Ensure Data backup are properly taking place on daily basis.
·  Review and test restore process on regular basis.
·  Monitor systems using agreed tools
·  Troubleshoot existing problems and take proactive actions to avoid future ones.
·  Manage VM (Deploy, Decom, update)
·  Maintain the software versions to latest releases to make sure security standards are honoured
·  Create/maintain specific documentation related to working environment.
·  Provide support required by other teams (application, OS, Storage and others)
·  Follow defined process like change management process.
·  Work in close collaboration with Service manager for coordination of activities and reporting
·  Work in close collaboration with Technical service manager for technical way of working, technical concern.

 

Technical skills

·  Previous experience with VMware Virtualization technology. Certifications is a plus
·  Good understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS)
·  Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) basic knowledge
·  Understanding of network concepts (Fundamentals, Standards and protocols)
·  Scripting knowledge

 

Soft skills

·  Good communication skills
·  Problem solving skills and ability to work independently.
·  English technical fluency required
·  Knowledge of ITIL concepts and practices
·  Team player
·  Highly motivated candidates with IT background willing to extend his VMware Virtualization knowledge
