The role as Senior Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst at Atos, you play an important role in the digital transformation and projects for our clients. Together with our client and colleagues you share your expertise on how we help organizations collaborate more efficiently and more securely. You review, analyse and evaluate business processes/systems and user needs.

 

Your role is to understand the clients’ requirements, document them and map them in user-stories in order to define scopes and strategy to support the business strategy. You should also be able to advice the business around future shape processes, notably regarding their level of automation.

 

Your tasks will for example include:

 

·  Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats;
·  Construct workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, writing specifications;
·  Maintain backlogs for the requirements and take clarifications from the customer on the requirements;
·  Improve systems by studying current practices, designing modifications;
·  Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed;
·  Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues;
·  Review a variety of areas including e.g. operations, purchasing, inventory, distribution, e-commerce and facilities.

 
The team 
This is a dynamic position within Atos with lots of freedom and responsibility in a growing team. You will work closely together with a lot of tech and innovation enthusiasts. Your work location will be in Zaventem or at the different clients’ offices across the country. International travel may be an opportunity when willing.

The department

We support clients in their migration from classical application to the digital world. The scale of the changes brought by digitalization across all industries is radically reshaping the way our customers consume technology and services. Our customers are shifting their priorities and budgets to support digital initiatives and implement business-driven technologies. B&PS is to be the partner of choice and trusted advisor of Atos clients to address these objectives.

Who are you
You have strong communication and analytical skills and are a team player. You like to talk with the business and build and deliver solutions which will help them in their digital transformation. Working in a dynamic and challenging environment gives you energy and you are eager to learn from colleagues from different backgrounds. On top of that you also have:

·  Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management or similar level of education;
·  Between 5 and 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area;
·  Agile/Scrum experience (user stories, story points, backlog, refinements);
·  Very good presentation, advisory and writing skills;
·  Knowledge of BPM/UML/Workflow (flowcharts);
·  Familiar with Business/Enterprise Architecture concepts, like TOGAF;
·  Experience with IREB, BABOK (IIBA), BISL, ITIL, ISQI (CABA) or BCS (Certification is a nice-to-have);
·  Good understanding of Excel, experience with Access and/or SQL is strongly preferred;
·  Industry/sector experience (Retail, Public, Financiel Services, Transport, etc…);
·  Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French and English, both verbal and written.
