TN Americas, a subsidiary of Orano USA is a leader of the American nuclear dry storage market. The company offers a complete line of products and related services to the transportation, storage, and engineering sectors operating in the fuel cycle materials market.

The role of the Design & Drafting Group is to provide Design and Drafting support to all of the core businesses of TN Americas LLC, including support to the Fabrication Engineering Group, Front End, Reactors & Services, Back End Business Lines, Technical Services and Business Development. The Drafting Group is part of the Design Engineering Group, which is responsible for the design and licensing of new and existing systems

TN Americas is seeking a Drafter I for our Columbia, MD office.

Job responsbilities will include:

This qualified individual will be responsible for the following tasks related to NUHOMS ® Dry Shielded Canisters, NUHOMS ® onsite transfer casks, TN metal storage casks, transport packages, and spent fuel racks:
· Prepare/update drawings and sketches under moderate supervision using CAD workstations and appropriate design criteria and technical manuals and following strict QA program.
· Prepare and review tolerances stack-ups.
· Perform layouts and design work using supplied data and markups utilizing theoretical and practical engineering knowledge.
· Work closely with design engineers to ensure design control as well as coordination of designs.
· Work closely with fabrication engineers to ensure and optimize fabricability of designs, and to help resolve fabrication issues.
· Review drawings to ensure compliance with design and engineering requirements and ease of fabrication.
· Consult with engineering staff to ensure compliance with supplied design specifications.
· Ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes as well as company procedures and policies
· Apply advanced techniques in CAD and standard design applications utilizing this CAD equipment.
· Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to designs and drawings.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position:
·  High school diploma or equivalent with completed coursework in drafting and CAD, plus 0-2 years of related experience. An A.A. degree may substitute for equivalent years of work experience.
·  Proficiency with SolidWorks
·  Attention to details.
·  Good communication skills.
·  Ability to change priorities quickly.

The fol lowing requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

·  Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
·  Proficiency with MS Office suite.
·  Knowledge of American Welding Society's standard “Symbols for Welding, Brazing and Nondestructive Examination” (AWS A2.4).
·  Experience with the development and design of new products.
·  Experience performing structural stress analyses
·  Some experience using a Product Data Management tool.

Travel: Sporadic (5%) domestic.
