COMPANY DESCRIPTION

CBI/AREVA MOX Services, LLC is a consortium of companies based in Aiken, SC and formed to advance the Department of Energy's mission to dispose of surplus weapon grade plutonium. The plutonium is disposed of by mixing it with uranium and forming a mixed oxide (MOX) fuel for use in existing nuclear reactors. After the MOX fuel is irradiated in the reactor, the plutonium can no longer be used for nuclear weapons. AREVA Federal Services provides resources to MOX Services for the design, construction, licensing and operations of the MOX Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF) to be built at the Savannah River Site. Resources provided are in the following disciplines: Licensing, ES&H, Integrated Safety Analysis, QA, Engineering Assurance, Process Engineering, Systems Engineering, Design and Engineering (Structural, Electrical, I &C, Seismic, Nuclear Criticality, Piping, Mechanical, HVAC), Project Safety, Procurement, Project Controls, Software Design, Training, Records Management, Operations, and Information Technology.

POSITION DESCRIPTION


Orano Federal Services LLC, a subsidiary of Orano US, is seeking a HVAC Construction Field Engineering Specialist III-IV

This position is responsible for coordinating the day to day HVAC activities on the MOX Project. The individual in this role ensures adherence to design basis and quality requirements for all assigned HVAC and HVAC support installation work.

Additional responsibilities will include the following :
· Update work packages and/or create additional steps for appropriate changes.
· Coordinate with STR's to address and implement vendor requirements and assists with vendor problems.
· Interface with the project control and strategic planning groups to include the test scope in the scheduling effort.
· Support HVAC Supervisor and Superintendent by implementing inspection and testing activities.
· Provide verbal and written communications that are professional, clear, concise and appropriate for the audience whether it be Employees or Management.
· Perform field walk-downs and inspections to review work for conformance with design requirements, applicable codes/standards and project procedures.
· updating schedulers/project controls of work completed.
· Update and review work packages in planning, working and closure.
· Request material transfers and/or material verification from warehouses.
· Support revisions to piping project test procedures to reflect the current work process through lessons learned and field implementation.
· Proactive support of the development and maintenance of schedules to encourage testable boundaries being constructed.
· Proactive report of progress and performance of Construction Test department.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
·  High School Diploma plus 11-13 years relevant work experience; or Associate's Degree plus 7-9 years' relevant work experience; or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology plus 1-3 years of experience in related technical discipline.
·  Experience in design, fabrication, installation or inspection in related construction discipline.
·  Basic knowledge of commonly used equipment, practices, procedures and concepts in a particular field.
·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
·  Ability to fully understand and interpret various technical documents, specifications, drawings, and schematics.

The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

·  Prior nuclear experience.
·  Extensive knowledge of the HVAC Construction process
·  Experience in supervision related to HVAC standards and procedures.
·  Working knowledge of OSHA and other construction related rules and regulations.
·  Familiarity with construction industry Standards (i.e. AWS, ASME, ERDA, ASNT, NQA-1…).
