DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for an exceptional Visual Designer, Retail Experience to join their global Devices CX Labs team. In this role, you will be creating printed and digital materials supporting in-store experiences that connect consumers to Amazon devices and services like Fire TV, Echo, Alexa, Kindle, and more. You will be working alongside a global team of designers, art directors, writers, and production teams to deliver your work across a variety of first- and third-party retailers in markets around the world.

The ideal candidate must have experience in graphic design, working in a creative iterative process. In addition to a refined set of design skills, a qualified candidate will have a clear understanding of the print and digital design process, and acute attention to detail. They must have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to gracefully present and defend their design decisions, while easily working with others.

Responsibilities
· Execute high-quality, cohesive print and digital design deliverables that are customer-focused, simple, and intuitive.
· Regularly update existing and create new in-store signage and marketing materials, including execution of retail displays, signage, packaging, printed materials, and seasonal marketing campaigns.
· Be able to clearly communicate ideas through visuals (storyboards/mood boards, drawing/sketching, ideation, typography, photography).
· Partner with creative leaders to develop visual style guides for in-store communication, signage, materials, packaging, etc. for Amazon Devices across a variety of first- and third-party retail touchpoints.
· Obsess over the customer experience; learn and utilize best practices for in-store experiences and leverage data, insights, and research to ensure work resonates with customers and enhances their experience.
· Work with creative leaders, channel marketing managers, and vendor partners on a regular basis.
· Collaborate with the Amazon design community at large to share insights and best practices.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of design experience within in-house, internship, design firm or agency environment.
· Bachelor's degree in design or related fields.
· An online portfolio demonstrating graphic design, environmental design, marketing or advertising, and other user-centered design solutions.
· Proficiency in basic design principals (typography, composition, scale, color theory, etc.) and a working knowledge of how those principles work together.
· Understanding of printing process, pre-press, paper, ink, and finishing work.
· Proficiency in current Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
