DESCRIPTION

MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE in Seattle, WA for Amazon.com Services, LLC:
1. Design, develop and implement sophisticated annotation schemas that optimizes Alexa devices natural language understanding of customers speech input, and enhance customer experience.

2. Expand and refine data collection efforts, including planning, scheduling, and reporting, and make sure the annotated linguistic data are accurate and processed in a timely fashion.
3. Coordinate cross-functional projects with a broad range of engineers, designers, and other groups.

4. Write grammar and build FSTs, and analyze the metrics of existing feature design and deterministic artifacts to make intelligent decisions on optimizing our natural language understanding system.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

PhD degree in Cognitive Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Information Science, or a related field and 2 years of taxonomy, linguistics, or related research, teaching, or industry experience.
