DESCRIPTION
The Enterprise Engineering team builds complex multi-platform solutions that help Amazonians get more done. We are recruiting qualified Systems t Engineer to operate our existing fleets, analyze and tune hardware/software configurations, automate existing manual processes, and identify improvements to our existing tools. This exciting and high impact role will involve working with a wide range of other technical and business groups within Amazon.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 2+ years of experience with client systems administration/engineering
· Excellent communication, prioritization, and analytical skills
· Strong desire to build, sense of ownership, and customer focus
· Proficiency in an un-managed programming language (e.g. C, C++)
· Internet and operating system security fundamentals
· Experience with other such as Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS
· Experience administering or developing databases
· Experience with Amazon Web Services
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

Desired profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 2+ years of experience with client systems administration/engineering
· Experience with Windows or macOS operating systems
· Experience with configuration management tools such as SCCM, Chef, Jamf or Tanium
· Proficiency scripting/programming with shell/Python/PowerShell
· Proficiency in a managed programming language (e.g. C#)
