The Amazon Automotive team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join a team centered around creating best in class online customer experience for the Automotive category on Amazon.com. As a Software Development Engineer, you will drive and lead the design, and development of multi-tiered highly scalable applications and systems using Java, SQL, Perl, C++ and Object Oriented Design technologies in a large-scale, complex distributed environment. You will work closely with other software engineers, QA and Support groups as well as Retail Business and Operations groups to develop top quality products that solve actual business and technology problems.
Our program team is comprised of developers, designers and product managers tasked with a singular goal to create THE world class shopping experience. You will be a key member of this team, dedicated to our ongoing effort to launch best of breed features worldwide and re-factoring the web UI framework to make the website FAST (client performance), Coherent, Clean and Beautiful, making it a delight to find and buy anything. Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
• 2+ years professional experience in software development
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
• Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
