Amazon's Seller Qualification team is seeking exceptional software development engineers to work on building the next generation of infrastructure for the seller approval process. The team seeks to reduce seller friction by providing efficient mechanisms to qualify sellers without compromising Amazon customer trust. The vision of the Seller Qualification Program is to grow the Amazon.com marketplace, offering customers Earth's largest selection of safe and authentic products.

As a Software Development Engineer on Seller Qualification team, you will be instrumental in shaping the definition, vision, design, roadmap and development of product features from beginning to end. You will:
· Write high quality distributed system software
· Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all team deliverables
· Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, stability, cost and security
· Help drive business decisions with your technical input
· Work in an agile, startup-like development environment, where you're always working on the most important stuff
· Mentor and lead junior developers on the team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience taking a lead role developing complex software systems that have successfully been delivered to customers
· Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs and product strategy
· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
· 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation
· At least 2 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using at least one modern language such as Java, C, C++, and Object Oriented Design.
· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
