Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Storage Solutions Architect, who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing and innovating on storage architectures that leverage AWS services and AWS partner solutions to increase availability and drive down costs for customers.

The Storage Solutions Architect will partner closely with the Storage Partner Development and Success teams, to enable large-scale customer use cases, define innovative hybrid architectures and drive the adoption AWS storage services together with out storage partner community.

Being part of the AWS Solutions Architects community you will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers and 3rd parties to fully leverage AWS services and our partner solutions

Roles and Responsibilities

· Evangelizing current and future AWS services and technologies
· Building and maintaining technical trusted advisor relationships with influential technical decision makers for the successful adoption and deployment of AWS services and technologies
· Work in collaboration with the partner and sales teams to create and execute business plans to accelerate the adoption of AWS and AWS partner storage solutions and drive customer satisfaction
· Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
· Identifying customer requirements and providing feedback into appropriate AWS services teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in working with or design of Enterprise storage vendors solutions such as from EMC, NetApp, Veritas, HP, IBM and Commvault.
· Experience with encryption-at-rest and key management solutions
· Understanding of AWS Storage Services such as S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier etc. Use of AWS in production a plus.
· Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
· AWS certifications are desired

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in design/implementation/consulting in the field of large-scale storage solution
· Deep experience with IT storage architectures, and how SAN and NAS solutions integrate into large-scale production applications.
· Experience with replication, high availability, archiving, backup & restore, and disaster recovery/business continuity storage practices.
· Technical consulting and architecture with large-scale engagements
· A talent for being able to influence and build mindshare convincingly with any audience. Confident and experienced in public speaking to large audiences
· Experience using and adapting to new technologies
