The AWS Global Partner Funding Team is seeking an experienced Business Analyst that can think strategically, tactically, and analytically. You will have a demonstrated ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, financial analysis, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives.

This role develops key analytic insights into partner to support strategic initiatives. This position will be responsible for business justification and metrics analysis of key partner funding programs with potential to expand into other APN programs over time. This will be a pivotal role that enables you to have significant business impact through direct involvement with partner financial modeling, reporting, forecasting, data quality and analysis.

A successful candidate will be analytical and possess a strong passion for developing insights, setting up correlation and causation analysis, and providing information that drives a dynamic and fast-growing business. To accomplish this, you will have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, write effectively and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

You will also have excellent business acumen and communication skills in order to be able to work with business leaders to develop and define key business questions, work with BI teams to set up the right data structure and collect information, and design the analysis model that answers these questions. You should be passionate about working with data, be driven to dive deep, and be passionate in socializing business impacts to guide the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead the design, development, maintenance and delivery/presentation of metrics, reports, analyses and dashboards to drive key business decisions around partner funding investments
· Collaborate with program manager stakeholders to develop a baseline around metrics tracking on partner investment programs, to be iterated upon over time
· Analyze the causality/correlation of how the metrics interplay with each other along with the ability to recommend new methodologies to build more precise models over time to shape partner funding decisions
· Communicate (written and verbal) these data trends effectively to various internal teams and executive stakeholders for business planning & program progression purposes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Advanced SQL skills, proficient in R and/or Python, expert Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms
· 10+ years of prior relevant experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analysis role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
Preferred location for this role will be Seattle, but consideration will be given to candidates located in other regions such as the SF Bay Area.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience
· 6+ years of prior work experience in a business analyst/data analyst role
· Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau
· Proficient SQL skills, advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms
· Exposure to Python/R
· Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
· Solid communication skills and experience leading and coordinating broad business reviews
