DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Employee Engagement Services Technology (E2S Tech) team delivers packaged software solutions that enable HR Services to accelerate delivery and support to Amazon’s global workforce. We will implement the overall self-service strategy and user experience for our employees and partners by integrating it with other Amazon cross systems and platforms like telephony, content management system (CMS), and analytics ensuring consistent global experience.

E2S Tech is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a broad range of technical knowledge and solution strategy expertise in order to advise on the best holistic solution for stakeholder requirements. A critical skill is the ability to express the strengths of the Salesforce platform, while understanding where other portfolio products can most effectively integrate to achieve the most secure and productive overall solution.

The successful candidate must be able to work directly with stakeholders to design highly usable, scalable, extensible, and maintainable solutions built on Salesforce, MuleSoft and many AWS technologies. A Solutions Architect should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. They will be passionate about their work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem solving abilities. They will deal with highly ambiguous problems, take responsibility for finding solutions, and will drive towards simple solutions to complex problems.

Key Responsibilities
· As a Solutions Architect, you will work directly with business stakeholders, functional analysts and program managers to accelerate projects and recommend best-practice architectures in line with long-term business outcomes
· Develop comprehensive solutions, blueprints, and reference architectures that empowers the successful implementation of business initiatives and maximizes customer value by leveraging design best practices
· Work with Technical Program Managers and Technical Architects to translate new requirements into application architecture
· Ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states
· Work closely with the architecture office stakeholders to seek out ways to utilize Salesforce to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace
· Contribute to the growth of the E2S Tech organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field
· Hands-On programming experience with at least or more development languages such as Java, C/C++ or C#
· Understanding of UI design principles and best practices
· Salesforce Certified System Architect or equivalent experience
· Salesforce Certified Application Architect or equivalent experience
· Exceptional analytical skills and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets
· Hands-On experience with MuleSoft, Informatica Cloud, or other integration tools
· Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on cloud computing
· Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
· Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze problems and develop actionable and appropriate tactical plans quickly
· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 8+ years of experience in enterprise, application and information architecture methodologies and design
· 3+ years of experience with Salesforce solution management or other cloud technologies
· Understanding of the basic architectural principles for building secure and robust applications on the AWS platform
· Familiarity with integration middleware, and concepts, such as: continuous integration, testing and team development best practices
· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and experience
· Ability to think strategically, develop plans, and coordinate execution
· Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
· Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Passion for technology and for learning
· Technical degree required, Masters preferred.
