DESCRIPTION

The WW Due Diligence (DD) and Remediation team is accountable for identifying environmental or health and safety concerns relating to the properties involved in our real estate transactions and the potential risk of environmental contamination, such as soil or groundwater contamination.. This is performed to ensure the safe use of the site by our associates, vendors and visitors. Due diligence can range in complexity from a reviewing a simple Phase I site inspection to overseeing a comprehensive Phase II site investigation including subsurface sampling, vapor intrusion assessment, and environmental risk evaluations. This is a key program management role responsible for supporting the WW Due Diligence and Remediation Program Lead in program management, project tracking, procedure and process revision, and continuous improvement projects. The role involves hands-on work in the areas of understanding stakeholder needs and expectations, EHS regulatory research, global stakeholder engagement, data analytics and reports, tracking and reporting on metrics, administrative processing of reports including data entry and basic document technical writing. The level of responsibility for due diligence reviews and remediation oversight will be commensurate with the candidates experience; with the opportunity to continually develop this skill set. Must be self-starter and detail-oriented. Must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities
· Following SOPs and instructions provided by WW Due Diligence (DD) and Remediation Program lead.
· Review select EHS due diligence-related information including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, historical reports or property investigations, regulatory agency assessments or opinions, and health-risk assessments to address specific concerns or questions.
· Track and monitor Enviro due diligence (DD) documentation process flow, including cut/paste relevant information into summary reports; manage and store DD documentation.
· Track, monitor and report weekly, monthly and quarterly data and in WW due diligence status, projects progress against playbook, reporting against metrics and outstanding data needs.
· Assist in developing or editing of environmental training for Amazon real estate professionals.
· Maintain data and track active remediation sites, passive remediation sites, sites with Hazardous Material plans.
· Edit and format EHS documentation per manager’s instructions (e.g. build tables, draw figures, flow charts, add pictures and info to presentations etc.).
· Maintain electronic document library and develop and/or maintain a document inventory that includes relevant information regarding document identification, status, effective dating and other pertinent document control information, as required.
· Maintenance of InsideAmazon E&L page, Wiki and administration of Sharepoint sites (maintenance and troubleshooting)..
· Draft documents and revisions on reports per manager direction.
· Perform deep dive analysis/research on data/information/literature and creates recommendations/corrective actions based on identified deviations and recommends appropriate solutions following manager’s direction.
· Data administration (e.g. data input into launch tracker, Gensuite).
· SIM/TT management.
· Identifies gaps in controls and processes and escalates to manager.
· Support the development and coordination of weekly, monthly and quarterly WW business reports.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Knowledge and working experience with environmental due diligence from reviewing a simple Phase I site inspection to overseeing a comprehensive Phase II site investigation.
- Knowledge and/or experience in environmental remediation
- Strong data analytic s experience
· Demonstrated ability to effectively balance/prioritize issues.
· Strong relationship building/networking/interpersonal skills.
· Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
· Business Process Outsourcing, Operations processes; Database management is an added advantage.
· Can work remotely from colleagues based across the world and flex working day start/finish times to manage time zone (within reason); and self-manage under managers direction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Science or related discipline.and a minimum of 1-3 years relevant program management experience
· Technical understanding of environmental site assessments and investigations
· Strong project management skills.
· Experience with process development, including procedure revisions
· Excellent computer skills for use of digital tools for project management and document control (Visio, MS Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong technical aptitude (i.e. able to read & comprehend technical documentation, ability to comprehend & execute procedures, demonstrated understanding of system documentation).
· Attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Able to self-prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment and know when to ask for help.
