Amazon Advertising creates and transforms the connection between retailers/service providers and customers. Join the Insights & Performance Team to contribute to product solutions that allow us to solve this through technology and automation.

Amazon Advertising seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to to contribute to ongoing performance analysis, development of metrics and creation of solutions that prescribe actions that help maximize ad campaign performance and grow revenue. This person will be tasked with thinking critically about how to combine elements from existing systems, technologies and operational workflows, and translate this into dashboards and tools that allow users to deeply understand what contributes to and impacts display campaign effectiveness. The ideal candidate must be willing to effectively project manage and prioritize across multiple tasks, exhibit strong problem solving skills and autonomy, and be ready to jump into a fast-paced, dynamic and fun environment.

Responsibilities:

- Own, update and continually improve metrics dashboards that allow individual contributors and team managers better understand campaign performance and identify follow-on actions

- Create correlation and linkage between projected performance, actual performance and subsequent downstream impact to revenue and renewal

- Work closely with product, operations, engineering and analytics teams to create the appropriate signals and metrics to drive performance.

- Work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to gather feedback to inform scope, evaluate options, and continually refine and iterate on solutions over time.

- Create, own and maintain input and output metrics related to performance that allow audit of user adoption, usage patterns and defect monitoring.

- Uncover data anomalies to test new hypotheses, and generate ideas to fuel recommendations and product innovation on behalf of customers.

- Drive alignment with stakeholders to carry your solutions forward into changes in workflow and processes to fuel innovation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Masters degree in quantitative field
· Advance knowledge of statistical analysis using R and Python or similar platforms
· Digital advertising experience
· Demonstrated ability to learn and use new technologies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
· Proficient extracting and processing data using SQL
· Experience with data visualization tools for reporting such as AWS Quicksight, Tableau or similar
· 3+ years experience in analytics, statistics or comparable analytics position
· Proven problem solving skills, attention to detail and structured approach to thinking
· Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing prioritization while maintaining autonomy and ownership
