The Amazon Strategic Network Design team is part of Amazon Transportation Services (ATS). As part of the team, you will help to develop a best in class middle mile strategy designing and implementing an integrated network that maximizes service value proposition and minimizes costs.

We are looking for a customer-focused, highly analytical, experienced Business Analyst. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated, as well as ability to communicate well and to manage multiple assignments and people simultaneously.

As business analyst you will be responsible for:

· Define parameters and success measures for network design decisions
· Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and / or other data management systems)
· Simplify and reduce the manual work by automating analysis through scripts and tools
· Working closely with colleagues (Operations Research Scientists, Network Planners, Operations team) to drive analysis, business cases and alignment with business stakeholders

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA or BS in Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research or similar fields
· Able to write SQL scripts for analysis and reporting ( SQL, MySQL)
· Proficiency with Tableau, Microsoft Excel and VBA (or other scripting languages like Python) for developing interactive reports, data manipulation, pivot tables, creating macros etc.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
· Fluent in English. Further additional EU languages will be a strong plus
· 3+ years of experience in a business analyst position
