Business Analyst (m/w/d) in Luxembourg

The European Amazon Logistics team is seeking a passionate, experienced, self-driven, analytical, and strategic Business Analyst.
In this role, you will lead the analysis, recommendation and execution of new European last mile delivery initiatives designed to improve overall efficiency and meet the ever-growing demand for delivery capacity.

The successful candidate will have strong data mining and modeling skills and an ability to use the data in financial and statistical modeling to bring it together to answer business questions. You will possess excellent business and communication skills, be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and be able to analyze data to answer those questions as well as creating a road-map on how to implement actions identified out the analysis provided.

You are comfortable facilitating ideation and working from concept through to execution. You will play an integral role in strategic decision-making as well as in the management of the day-to-day operation on an international scale

This role is based within our EU Headquarters in Luxembourg, it will involve travels across Europe.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative oriented discipline
· At least 5 years significant experience in operations supply chain analysis/ financial analysis, business process analytics or program management analytics
· Strong tactical level operator; thrive on analytics and detailed investigation; able to coordinate workload
· Technical Expertise- in-depth knowledge of planning and analysis tools; solution driven approach to system and process; advanced computer literacy (MS Excel, MS Access/other Database)
· Proficiency with quantitative analysis/ decision making/ complex problem solving- proactively gathers the right data from appropriate sources, probes/considers all of the facts, considers other perspectives; conducts root cause analysis; refers to long term plans and goals; prioritizes key factors; acts decisively, promptly and confidently
· Ability to work to tight time frames and deadlines, to handle multiple competing priorities and projects and ensure that all parties are providing key information on time for effective decision making and reporting
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with and engage cross-functional teams in various locations, both business and technical
· Ability to operate independenctly in a diverse and ambiguous environment
