DESCRIPTION

Are you the sort of person who can learn, develop and hone your skills to ultimately help our customers implement simple video workflows that solve their business challenges? Would you like to do this using the latest encoding and cloud computing technologies?

At AWS Elemental, we build and develop cloud-based and on-premises video encoding, origin, packaging, and management solutions for Live and Video-On-Demand workflows for customers worldwide. These solutions are integrated into larger AWS or other workflows. In this role, we are looking for a smart and ambitious individual to join us as an Associate Solutions Architect and assist our customers, partners, and AWS account teams with developing workflows to best fit the application and use case.

The AWS Elemental Associate SA will work closely with other SA's in our team to develop the required technical and soft skills to help our Media & Entertainment customers transition to AWS cloud services. The expected outcome for the individual we hire would be to help define, demonstrate and build cloud-based solutions for business challenges each Media & Entertainment (M&E) customer is facing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· A BA (Hons) degree in digital media / television production or similar.

· A passion for the media & entertainment industry
· Demonstrable aptitude to learn new skills quickly
· Strong communication skills
· Knowledge of Broadcast or Internet-based video workflows
· Working knowledge with video compression and packaging, especially H.264, HEVC, HLS and MPEG DASH
