Associate Corporate Counsel

DESCRIPTION

As Associate Corporate Counsel, you will be a key member of Audible's legal team providing wide-ranging support to Audible's cutting-edge businesses. You will work closely with Audible and Amazon stakeholders on a variety of transactions and initiatives as well as provide day-to-day strategic and legal advice.

Principal duties include counseling business partners in legal areas such as new product and feature development; privacy (including the GDPR, CCPA and similar frameworks); advertising technology; territorial expansion; new ventures and partnerships; software licensing; institutional (B2B) transactions; as well as general legal areas such as structuring, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts and advising on consumer protection laws and other regulatory matters.

The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, possess exceptional analytical and communication skills, and enjoy being continually challenged in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. A good sense of humor, sound judgment, and ability to navigate amongst conflicting priorities are essential.

This position is based in Newark, NJ – This position is based at our Newark, NJ campus – 20 minutes from Manhattan.

Occasional travel, including travel to Amazon.com's headquarters in Seattle, WA, will be required.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· J.D. from a top-tier law school
· 2+ years of commercial or transactional legal experience at a leading global law firm and/or in-house at a major multinational corporation
· Member in good standing of at least one state bar
