Amadeus is changing the travel industry through digital experiences offered to a wide range of customers: travel agencies, airlines, airports, hotels, cars, etc.

Background

The TPE (Technology Platform Engineering) division is a common platform used by all Amadeus Business Applications (Booking, Reservation, Inventory…).

It covers a wide scope of activities like Cloud Solutions, Storage Solutions, Business Intelligence Platforms, ...

Amadeus Solutions help boarding more than 1 billion passenger per year. We count more than 55,000 transactions per second, 49 Petabytes of storage and 54 billion SQL executions per day.

Part of this huge traffic goes through our Messaging solution.

To be able to support the increase of the volume of data, the division is moving towards automation and cloud based solutions. Currently we are building a new Queuing-as-a-Service solution.

The objective is to deploy a scalable and resilient messaging solution in the cloud.

Summary of the role

­You participate to the definition of a tool to administrate and operate the new messaging solution.

You contribute to the collection and specification of the requirements of the tool, and then the implementation of a prototype of the tool.

You will participate to the definition of:

· The coding language (C++, java,…)
· The product design : UI based with Angular, Django,… or Shell based tool

What you’ll learn

You’ll have the chance to interact with a team of 10 developers on a daily basis. The main things you’ll learn:

· Agile Methodology (scrum)
· Cloud technology: OpenShift, Kubernetes,…
· What means operating and administrating a system with very high availability constraint
· Work in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment

Requirements

· Education: Computer Science or Software Engineering degree candidate(last year if possible)
· Duration: 4-6 months
