BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

As part of the Technology, Platforms & Engineering (TPE) entity, Infrastructure Cloud Services (ICS) division is the infrastructure provider for the whole Amadeus community.

IaaS Services (IPS) department focuses on private cloud solutions, so-called Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), hosting both development activities and production workloads.

The IaaS SRE Development (ICD) team is responsible for providing reliable and scalable IaaS environments to developers all over the world while ensuring the flexibility and agility required by the development activities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Cloud Network engineer’s main responsibilities are:

· Design, deploy, monitor, and support private cloud network infrastructure
· Provide technological knowledge and participate in decision on technology related topics
· Define and evangelize cloud-related network optimizations and best practices to improve reliability and performance
· Automate solutions for complex & repetitive problems in a cloud network infrastructure
· Evaluate & deploy new features to the platform, as per the needs of the customers
· Manage transition from Pilot to Production environments

Write and maintain technical documentation, for internal use and for customers.
Provide visibility, traceability, accountability & metrics

EDUCATION

Post-secondary degree in Computer Science.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

Operations Support experience.

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Technical Skills

Required:

· Expert in administration of large-scale and high availability networks (TCP/IP, VLAN/VXLAN, BGP, 3 tiers network architecture, Leaf-spine architecture)
· Strong experience in network services (Firewall, Load Balancer, DNS/DHCP
· Experience in Software Defined Network adminsitration (OpenvSwitch, appreciated Nokia Nuage Networks)
· Strong experience in Linux administration
· Strong experience in datacenter administration: racking and cabling, hardware configuration and support
· Experience in configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)
· Experience in virtualization technologies (KVM, VMWare)
· Strong scripting skills (Ruby, Python, REST API)

Appreciated:
· Experience in infrastructure/network security
· Experience in storage especially Software Defined Storage (CEPH)
· Knowledge of source code repositories (Git/Bitbucket)
· Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker)
· Knowledge of continuous integration & continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) process
