Position Summary

The position requires an individual to deep dive into cost factors as it relates to Infrastructure Capacity. Identify areas that can be streamlined, and the cost can be reduced. In addition, assist the DevOps team with managing & supporting the internal environments needed to address the needs of the Development, QA & other non-production teams. Create & maintain tools used for automation & other Dev-Ops processes.

Key Areas of Responsibility

· Understand all the cost factors related to Infrastructure Capacity. Identify areas where cost can be reduced with an Optimized Capacity
· Assist the DevOps team with Cloud environment management, and deployments of products and services for development and testing purposes
· Help develop or leverage existing 3rd party or open source tools to automate the DevOps process in a containerized environment
· Work with product owners, product engineers and other key product stakeholders to understand the operational needs and functions of products to help assess the capacity and run efficiencies of those products and services.

Requirements

· 2 - 3 years in the capacity of Application or Infrastructure support in a Public Cloud based environment such as Azure or AWS.
· Knowledge of consumption based cost model.
· Knowledge of Agile development practices.
· Experience with writing Automation Scripts relating to Infrastructure provisioning and support.
· Experience with C# and scripting languages such as Powershell.
· Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Openshift, Docker Containers, Jenkins is a PLUS.
· Cool-headed, detail oriented, and able to work constructively with others
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
