The Travel Intelligence Unit is a new area of IT diversification for Amadeus.

The aim of this new unit is to provide Travel Intelligence Services which revolutionize the travel industry and enable customers to make their business more profitable.

As BI Presales Engineer for Travel Agencies you will support the sales team coordinating allpresales activities for travel agencies worldwide. As part of the role you will define processes to work with other internal teams.You will prepare and document processes for the potential growth of the team.

To do so you need to understand customer functional and technical needs in order to ensure the best Business Intelligencesolution is offered to the travel agency.

At this point you will partner with travel agency clients to help them achieve their business objectives with successful implementations of improved business processes, advanced analytics and technology solutions.

Keep Management and necessary teams informed on market and customer trends in order to prepare the correct sales strategy, product management and quickly react to changes.

Prepare the commercial proposals from a technical and functional point of view, including the detailed description of the solution to be delivered.

Demo products and solutions.

CUSTOMER PRE-SALES ACTIVITIES

Analyse customer requirements and identify modifications to existing products necessary to meet those needs.

Define customisation requirements and provide input to product managers for the sizing of customisation work.

Provide technical and product information for RFI and RFP responses.

Produce and update high level requirements document and pre-sales product information.

Provide sales staff with product/solution demonstrations demonstration systems for the product portfolio.

Assist sales staff with the technical aspects of on-site product demonstrations and presentations.

Translate software features into benefits for solving customer business problems.

Provide technical input to the services and sales staff in order to facilitate the development of implementation plans.

Ensure product testing and piloting exercises.

ACQUIRE, MANTAIN AND SHARE ACROSS AMADEUS TI SOLUTIONS FOR TRAVEL AGENCY ACCOUNTS

Acquire and continuously update an expert-level understanding of the travel agency customer strategy, industry trends and the competitive dynamics of this segment marketplace.

Identify and communicate across the organization opportunities, threats and recommendations arising from this analysis.

Participate in industry trade shows and similar events.

Share best practices internally.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATION AND COORDINATION WITH OTHER UNITS

Ensure input from the different pre-sales members is provided in an organised way to product management.

Provide weekly report on pre-sales status in the region and update on sales pipeline.

Close coordination with the sales team members in order to coordinate approach towards pipeline.

Coordination with the corresponding account manager before initial direct customer contact and during the negotiation to inform about status on the area.

FINAL SOLUTION TO THE CUSTOMER

Creation and coordination of an internal work group with solution managers and data scientist for the design, creation and development of the final solution.

Update internal groups with customer needs and industry trends.

About YOU

For this role you need to have an University degree in Business, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience, master are valuable; witha minimum 3 years experience in Business Intelligencespecialised in the Travel Agency segment or Travel Industry.

Demonstrated business development expertise as well as Project Management skills and understanding of managing and structuring business processes
