Job Description

An exciting vacancy for a Co-Design to Value Engineer (d/f/m)  - new ways of working - has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Hamburg at the earliest possible start date. You will join the Co-development & Integration team (ZDD) within the new Digital Design, Manufacturing and Services (DDMS) Organization.

Airbus is undergoing a significant digital transformation to benefit from the latest advances in new technologies and targets a major efficiency breakthrough across the program and product lifecycle. It will be enabled by a set of innovative concepts such as model based system engineering, modular product lines, digital continuity and concurrent co-development of the product, its industrial setup and operability features.

This transformation platform is based on 5 capability streams, out of which one of them is Co-development & Integration. This stream aims at developing all new methodologies, ways of working and integrated processes to be applied to future developments - and to existing incremental when relevant - based on DDMS concepts and enablers (product line, co-design, MBSE, digital continuity) as well as on any other non-digital solutions. The ultimate objective is to secure the definition of the global optimum of the product, its industrial system and its support & services system, while achieving DDMS objectives in terms of cost and lead time reduction and in terms of maturity increase.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your mission will consist in promoting the development of end-to-end Co-Design to Value (Co-DtV) methodology: an integrated approach to product development & manufacture efficiency optimization.

You are responsible of the culture change of the Co-DtV approach with the following tasks and responsibilities included:

·  You realise Co-DtV benchmarking cross divisions, externally and competitor based
·  It is your responsibility to define a robust and deep understanding of value drivers in order to push them towards Airbus via the DtV organisation
·  You propose disruptive ways of working to increase customer values while reducing product, industrial & service cost
·  You orient & influence the E2E Co-DtV work flow in an agile mode in collaboration with the Co-DtV organisation and cross DDMS streams
·  You develop a Co-DtV route transformation book collegially built with the business in order to ensure the OTOQOC DtC capabilities deliveries to the short/mid & long term program needs
·  It is your responsibility to elaborate a Data Governance, inevitable key enabler in our new digital era, where quicker and easier access to data information change traditional borders between organizations, functions & with our supply chain
·  You elaborate new Way-of-Working with Airbus extended enterprises, to select innovative suppliers & built an exclusive bundle of Co-DtV proficiency
·  You support training / career paths development & new competences identification / creations by close cooperation with HR entities and the H/O DDMS transformation

Required skills

Your Boarding Pass:

·  You hold a degree in Engineering or a related discipline
·  Experience as a System Engineer is also part of your profile
·  You have experience in Value Management and/or Cost Engineering
·  Project management experience are part of your profile
·  You have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders
·  You have the ability to coach and drive multi-functional operational teams and management
·  You speak English on negotiation level; French, German or Spanish would be a plus
