Job Description

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). For Airbus in Hamburg within the Procurement Cabin Department we are looking for a VIE - Project Support (d/m/f)

Start: December 2019/January 2020

Duration: 12 months

You will support the team on cross-functional tasks and run your own small-sized projects within Purchasing, Cabin Retrofit and Cabin Strategy. The total Procurement Cabin team consists of 130 people in Toulouse and Hamburg, our business language is English. In this function, you will have the opportunity to work directly with international Airbus suppliers. Furthermore you will rotate between four functional departments in Procurement Cabin who will entrust you with some of the following activities:

- Help to develop and improve the price database

- Help to develop a cross-functional tool to facilitate exchanges between teams

- Support the next development waves of the internal Procurement Cabin database

- Support the elaboration/follow-up of the PC digitalization roadmap

- Support the development of a Shipset Price Calculation tool

- Create a team presentation to illustrate the activities of the Cabin Retrofit team

- Perform an internal customer feedback survey and help setting priorities

- Support the team on the change management process

- Design a systematic business relation improvement approach

- Perform an internal benchmark of handling in-service issues and collect best practices

- Review systematically the ordering process and identify opportunities for a more automatized ordering

- Review completeness of prices lists

You offer:

- University degree in Economics, Business Management or similar

- Interest in Aerospace Industry

- First job experience in Procurement, Sales or Marketing

- Knowledge in SAP/data mining, analytics

- English negotiation level
