Job Description

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus Helicopters to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). For Airbus in Hamburg within Single Aisle (SA) Final Assembly Line (FAL) Hamburg, we are looking for a

VIE (d/f/m) - Manufacturing Engineering FAL

Location:         Hamburg

Start:               March, April 2020

Duration:         12 months (extension to 24 months appreciated)

Main Tasks

- Identify, evaluate improvement measures based on evaluations of repetitive deviations in production

- Implement, lead improvement projects

- Introduce new technologies, processes to SA Final Assembly Lines and Manufacturing Engineering

- Develop proposals for standardizing ME processes between the ME units (cab, structure and systems)

- Evaluate the effects and carry out the associated implementation projects

- Support in company-wide projects

You offer:

- Engineering degree (Aerospace, Production, General)

- Experience in Aircraft production (ideally within Airbus) helpful

- First job experience in Project management (agile) plus tool knowhow

- MS-Office and/or GSuite knowledge

- First contact with Airbus PLM-tools would be a plus

- IT basics Python, C++ would be an advantage

You offer very good communication skills as well as a reliable, strongly organised and motivated working attitude. In a demanding environment, you are able to deal with confidential Information.
