Description of the job
A position as Type Certification Combat Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join TEAWS-TL4 department.

Tasks & accountabilities
The main accountabilities of this position will be to:
· Manage the airworthiness approvals and technical activities with Aviation Authorities.
· Act as airworthiness technical leader for definition of airworthiness policies, strategies and standards. Inputs: Airworthiness (AW) Regulations and standards / Airbus referential Outputs: certification strategies and policies / Airbus position on regulatory requirements / certification basis / certification plan / means of compliance / Approvals of changes to Type Certificate (TC) / Airbus strategic position on new standards/Airworthiness regulations
· Ensure the definition of certification policies.
· Participate in the development of new certification strategies or policies.
· Formalize the Airbus position on Certification Review Item (CRIs) or Issue Papers (IPs).
· Act as interfaces with Aviation Authorities at panel level for primary Type Certificate (TC), foreign certification/validation activities and for major Changes.
· Manage discussions with Aviation Authorities on Certification Basis, Certification Plan, Means of Compliance, and compliance demonstration methods.
· Lead and conduct the Airworthiness approvals of Airbus product changes.
· Conduct and defend Airbus position within standards and Airworthiness (AW) regulation evolutions/creations

Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
· Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
· Experience in Type Certification Combat Engineering.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Able to propose new ideas
· English :Advanced
