Description of the job

A vacancy for a Tooling Development Engineer (m/f) Station Control Systems and MAA has arisen within Airbus in Hamburg at the earliest possible start date.

The Jigs and Tools Department at the Airbus site in Hamburg is responsible for project planning and project management up to the realisation and commissioning of special production equipment and devices. In this role you will plan and implement the electronic and electro technical components of special production equipment and large construction fixtures in aircraft manufacturing.

Tasks & accountabilities

What does your new challenge look like?

·  Clarification of requirements, creation and validation of control and hardware concepts
·  Developing of cost estimates as a data basis for internal budget planning
·  Preparing requirement specifications for the entire electrical and control systems components
·  Coordination of electrical engineering with mechanical design and technical building equipment
·  Validating of electrical control concepts, control designs and implementations presented by the supplier for functionality, availability and adherence to specifications
·  Testing of the planned implementation and realisation with regard to EN, VDE, BGV, CE, EMC, explosion protection and safety standards
·  Testing of the software and overall documentation for the electrical and control engineering component

Required skills

What do you bring?

·  You have a degree in electrical engineering or similar.
·  You have several years of professional experience in Jigs and Tools development, design and project management.
·  You bring a proven background in in the fields of automation, electrical engineering, measurement aided assembly or electrical machine design.
·  You are confident in the creation of visualization and CAD-E-Plan programs.
·  You are able to evaluate CAD and CATIA drawings as well as functional diagrams of mechanical engineering.
·  You are used to work in transnational projects.
·  Your language skills in German and English are at negotiation level.
