Description of the job :
A position as an Avionics Joint Team (AJT) System Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space, Spain. During the first years, the person will be working in Warton (UK). The successful applicant will join TEAXE department.

Task & accountabilities :
The Avionic Joint Team (AJT) is a Eurofighter multi-national team in Warton, UK with the following responsibilities:
- Generation of the Avionic System (AVS) requirements and design, including the consolidation and control of the Interface Control Document and System Hazard Analysis
- Generation of the Avionic sub-system requirements and design including System Hazard Analysis
- Analysis and management of test results including problem report resolution
- Performing the System Safety Assessment
- Providing Qualification Statements
Airbus Germany within the AJT is primarily responsible for the development of the Attack & Identification (A&I) Sub-system. The systems engineer role in the team comprises a wide range of technical as well as social aspects. The applicant should have a sound knowledge of the Avionic System or at least of one AVS sub-system. The applicant should also bring a general understanding of systems engineering and development processes. His/her key responsibilities will include:
- Review and harmonization of higher level requirements
- Generation and review of system concepts
- Generation of the Level 2 A&I product set (Functional Requirements Document, Hazard Analysis. and Traceability) in order to integrate the customer-required operational capabilities into the existing weapon system
- Maintenance of the Level 2 A&I product sets for various AVS standards
- Review of the previous and subsequent development phase documentation in order to ensure consistency with the Level 2 A&I product sets
- Analysis of problem reports
- Working in a multi-national environment across sub-systems
- Working with external customers (e.g. air forces) and Cockpit Group in order to elaborate requirements and develop enhanced product capabilities
- Support the evaluation of project-specific tool releases in order to minimise the impact on future deployments
- Constituting the interface to subsequent levels and test departments

Required skills :
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
• Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
• More than 5 years of Experience working in Engineering Department.
• In-depth knowledge of system engineering principles, development approaches, and standards (ARP 4754a, INCOSE)
• Specific knowledge of EF Development Standards
• Practical experience of requirements management and analysis
• Practical experience of Statemate, FaultTree+ and DOORS
• Capability to work as part of in an international team and in a multinational project environment
• Good communication skills
• Negotiation Level of English is required
