Description of the job

A vacancy for a Software has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space / Engineering in Toulouse. You will join the Electrical Power & Engineering Laboratory.

The main missions of this department are:

·  Providing Electrical Engineering support to Airbus Projects

·  Developing Electrical Demonstrators to support innovation and developments

·  Providing electrical testing capabilities in the associated laboratory

·  Developing ground support equipment

·  Identifying and developing future trends for Electrical Engineering

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Ensuring the quality of the software activities carried out on the electrical demonstrators project

·  Ensuring the technical coordination of the software activities of 4-5 projects

·  Defining for each new project the software development plan to be applied

·  Participating in capitalization activities of different projects for a continuous improvement

·  Being proactive on internal and external R & T activities

This role will involve some travel for business once/month in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to master degree level (or equivalent) in software or a related discipline

·  Experience with Software architecture and development

·  Experience with fast prototyping and agile developments

·  Good knowledge of aeronautics and/ or space.

·  Languages : C, VHDL

·  Knowledge of CAN, UART

·  Intermediate level of English

·  Agility, reactivity, proactivity
