Description of the job

A vacancy for an A400M DAC Software Engineer (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “A400M EW”.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Creation of software requirements based on predefined standards and tools
- Design, development and implementation of embedded software for the A400M Defensive Aids Computer (DAC)
in the context of maintenance and servicing and in the growth of new requirements and functionalities
- Implementation and execution of complex test scenarios and acceptance tests for validation/verification of the
Software
- Support in the software certification process
- Definition and support of development and test environment in cooperation with Military Test & Support Facility (MTSF)
- Perception of the Software Build Manager and creation of all delivery-relevant documents
- Compliance with quality requirements and processes
- Creation of specifications for the DAC software (concept, specification, work packages) and control of the results
- Support of the planning and execution of software reviews

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

- University Degree in computer science or comparable
- Expertise in software development, preferably in design and implementation of embedded software
- Good knowledge in the area of software requirements development
- Good knowledge of software testing and software integration
- Experience in DASS (Defensive Aids Subsystem) environment helpful
- Experience in software certification for airworthiness purposes
- Experience in software configuration management
- Good knowledge of processes, methods and procedures, e.g. Do178B
- Ability to work in a team, customer orientation
- Fluent in English
