Description of the job

A vacancy for a Simulator Support Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “Training Systems Project Management”.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Providing technical and logistical support services to ensure the product and system availability of PC-21 flight simulators to several end customers Coordinating and monitoring contractually agreed services
·  Being the central focal point for Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. with regards to support services for flight simulators
·  Assessing the support needs regarding contract coverage and responsibility
·  Performing Airbus internal coordination of service provision
·  Tracking fault messages and troubleshooting
·  Carrying out the configuration acquisition of hardware/software modifications
·  Developing and keeping the spare part lists
·  Coordinating repair cases
·  Organising part procurement and shipping including export control
·  Ensuring the operation of test rigs
·  Implementing obsolescence analyses
·  Performing internal and external reporting
·  If required: Performing user training sessions

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  University Degree in Engineering, with focus on Simulation or similar
·  Vast professional experience in the above mentioned field of expertise
·  Experience in project management and customer care
·  The ability to take the initiatives and motivated and a responsible manner is required
·  A friendly attitude and the ability to take pleasure in customer contact
·  Willingness to travel abroad (small extent)
·  English and German fluent
