Airbus Space and Defence – Intelligence is a leading provider of optical and satellite imagery, geographic information products, software and services delivering geographic information solutions into both private and public sector organisations worldwide. Airbus Defence and Space provides high value-added solutions including satellite data & geographical information acquisition and processing, operational emergency planning systems, geo-information, risk analysis, consultancy, data management and hosting. Primarily, this role is to deliver commercial support to the Customer Service Team with respect to Airbus Defence and Space Software applications within the Public Safety Sector and Hosting Services for Civil Government AgenciesPrivate Sector. The applicant will also carry out software support tasks as part of the Customer Service Team.

Tasks & accountabilities

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

Commercial tasks:
¤ Supporting the Service Manager to ensure that each customer’s maintenance contract renewal documents are accurately compiled and completed.
¤ Raising purchase orders to order software and services from suppliers.
¤ Following up with customers to ensure that signed contracts and purchase orders are received punctually.
¤ Scan and file signed contracts once received.

Software support tasks:
¤ Providing first and second line support; responding to and progressing incidents in accordance with the customer’s Service Level Agreement (SLA).
¤ Updating incident history via the Incident Management software tool.
¤ Undertaking problem identification and resolution involved re-creation of the incident, configuration analysis and/or data investigation.

Required skills

Please note our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

¤ Good attention to detail
¤ Adaptability to changes in tasks / priorities and able to work under own initiative.
¤ Acquire new skills and knowledge rapidly and share them with others.
¤ Knowledge of or interest in learning ITIL.
