Description of the job

A vacancy for a SCCM Administrator / 3rd Level Desktop Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space - Stevenage.

The SCCM Administrator / 3rd Level Desktop Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance and solutions to customers and providing an interface to other technical stakeholders across all UK sites.
You will be working from end-to-end on projects, including : requirements capture, creating applications, testing in a controlled environment, initial pilot and first roll out and progressing to live roll out.

You will be joining the IM Department. Information Management (IM) delivers the expertise, technology and equipment for Airbus Space and Aerospace products – We make it fly!

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

¤ To provide problem management and support to 1st and 2nd line teams. Identify RCA of complex issues.
¤ Collaborate with international colleagues to identify and deliver best in class solutions.
¤ Deployment planning & scripting of complex software packages to a large estate of windows 7 devices.
¤ OS deployment and build creation (Windows 7 / 10)
¤ Troubleshooting SCCM issues including Software Update Management, Software Deployment, Inventory, OS deployment, Patch Management.
¤ Monitor and maintain desktop client health.
¤ Work with project teams to transition changes.
¤ Using on SCCM 2012 for configuration parameters of scripts, supersedence functions, global conditions and detection rules

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

¤ Previous SCCM 2012 Administration experience - including configuration parameters of scripts, supersedence functions, global conditions and detection rules.
¤ Proven experience as a 3rd line desktop support engineer.
¤ Windows 7 / 10 desktop environments
¤ Service Desk methodology i.e. ITIL,
