Description of the job

A tem vacancy (MATERNITY LEAVE)for a R&T Business Development Engineer has arisen within AIRBUS in Getafe.
The successful applicant will join Engineering department.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  The job holder carry out a funding mechanisms analysis, capturing the information of existing and coming funding tools from the different European, National and regional funding bodies and Ministries to decide on the more convenient funding tools for the specific period
·  The job holder communicate the results of the funding analysis to relevant stakeholders, establish the funding strategy for the different technical domains and establish a multianual funding plan for the different R&T road maps
·  The job holder prepares bids for public funding, defines the appropriate contract structure, assembles the required data in close collaboration with technical experts, and establishes the contract costs.
·  The job holder negotiates the contract requirements with the funding body, establishes collaborative research agreements with partners, and completes the bid submissions process to achieve the best outcome for Airbus.
·  The job holder establishes and maintains effective working relationships with key stakeholders in the contract at Airbus (technical & commercial) and at the target funding agency (officials & contract reviewers) in order to ensure business needs are met.
·  The job holder manages the deliverables required by the contract, and administers the contract, manages risks and opportunities and triggers claims for contract payments.
·  The job holder manages contract reporting to the funding agency, assembling and presenting the information required under the terms of the contract. by the funding agency, and maintains the Airbus contract database to support internal reporting and forward planning.
·  The job holder manages contract status reporting inside Airbus, maintains the Airbus contract database with relevant and topical data, and supports the preparation of management information for financial reporting and AOP planning.
·  The job holder will provide the principal interface with the funding agency for specific contracts, managing the relationship on behalf of project leaders and technical staff to enable them to focus on technology project deliverables.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level in Engineering
·  Experience in Engineering
·  Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, systems or Engineering 5-10 years will be valuable.
·  Experience in Project Management
·  Excel advance and macros
·  English advanced
·  Spanish and French will be valuable
