Description of the job

A vacancy for a Project Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Elancourt or Toulouse.
You will join the System Program Delivery France department.
The job holder will report to the Head of System and Export Programs at Secure Communications, within CIS.

In the Secure Communications/EMEA organization, Export business has hugely increased these last 2 years (more than 50M€ per year) especially in the satellite telecommunications business. For this reason, Secure Communications is looking for a Project Manager in charge of the management of incoming projects of secured telecommunications and support the programmatic sizing and assessment in the bids within Secure Communications / Systems and Export Programs EMEA.

The job holder will work in close interface with all the areas of the CIS and Secure Communications (program line, central bid Management, engineering, legal, commercial, sales, procurement, quality,…)

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

1. As Project Management Support :
Per delegation of the Project Manager, he is mainly responsible for :

·  managing or supporting management of the project, i.e. of its successful achievement under its technical, schedule, performance, quality, and financial aspects, at the customer and stakeholders satisfaction.

·  managing or supporting management of the Contract delivery and commitments, in close coordination with Commercial and Legal teams for related Customer Contracts set up and follow-up,

·  managing or supporting delivery of the Project commitments within the Costs and margin defined for it

·  project planning and monitoring, and risks & opportunities management, to define Project delivery strategy, and to deliver the project management plan

·  managing or supporting Presentation of the Project milestones and ensure BMS processes implementation of the Project

·  support to Sales team (in close coordination), for the content definition and cost estimate of Project Delivery aspects (incl. PM, schedule, delivery plan, staffing plan, risk analysis and cost engineering), for offers related to satellite telecommunications business.

2. As Bid Management Support :
Per delegation of the centralized Bid Management entity Managing bids:

·  Animate a multi-functional team for Bids (sales, engineering, commercial & contracts, legal,…); ensure relationship and coordination with internal and potential external partners.

·  Coordinate internal and externa activities in the scope of Bid, secure resources assignment with Engineering and potentially subcontracting Companies,

·  Deliver and consolidate the project costs, project planning, and risks & opportunities in the frame of the Bid, and ensure that results fit with the technical, financial and schedule KPI for each bid.

·  Present the related Gates from MG03 as support to Sales team and deliver the right reporting to TCSGS management, and centralized bid management entity.

·  ensure consistence with Secure Communications processes and in cooperation with the centralized bid management organization.

This role will involve some travel for business in France and abroad and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  A good knowledge of Project management practices, methods and tools (MS Project, SAP, …)

·  Experience in Bid Management (Proposals and Tenders elaboration) and support to Bid management

·  Experience in small-size project management and in project industrial set-up

·  Leadership skill, and very good relationship and communication skills (internal and external), and a synthesis mindset

·  Customer oriented

·  Good knowledge of Airbus DS standard processes would be a plus

·  Good level of English language (oral, written) is needed.
