Description of the job

A vacancy for a Document Management Solutions (DMS) Project manager has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe.

The successful applicant will join TOIAE1 department.

Your Role

As a Document Management Solution Project Manager you will have the responsibility of transversal platform, serving to most areas in the Division with different modules.

A great data manager is able to fully grasp the complexity of data management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. It provides a broad view of the whole company, from the Program management to the Customer Service from a documentation point of view, as well as Export Control regulations and

Certification and Qualification processes within the Engineering domain. You will also be the tech-savvy and possess excellent troubleshooting skills.

The goal is to ensure that information flows timely and securely to and from the organization as well as within.

The project leader proposes IM strategic plans and manages functional and technical evolutions for DMS within the relevant business domain.

This position is applicable for all AD&S Military Transport Programs (A400M, Tankers, M&L) and the Information Systems in the scope of these projects provide transversal activities to all of them.

A part from the competencies, the Business Information Manager will have to manage a team around 10-12 people, project budget and participate in the next OPs preparations. It's required a permanent (daily based) contact fin final users and usual (weekly/monthly based) meeting with key users, discussing project progress, gathering new requirements, taking decisions, etc.

Regarding DMS technology, they are based in COTS products like Filenet (with big customization on top). A technical background in computing would be an advantage.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  To work with Business stakeholders to identify the business requirements and the expected outcome.
·  To support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and Company standards.
·  To troubleshoot and implement enhancements and fixes to systems as needed.
·  To contribute to the preparation of the business plan of the organization
·  Identify areas for improvement in business processes providing possible solutions compliant with the IM strategy
·  To be responsible for managing the information technology development within the business domain
·  To anticipate changes to the Information System and the business impact and vice versa
·  To formalize, consolidate and drive the development of the configuration of the information system
·  To evaluate the relevance of the Information systems to the business domain
·  To build requirements, specifications, business processes and the business case related to the proposed solutions
·  To build a knowledge base through understanding the organization's information system"

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics or computer science or Engineering
·  3-5 years of relevant quantitative and qualitative research and analytics experience.
·  Solid knowledge of statistical techniques.
·  Consolidated programming skills, specially developing around document management platforms in different projects.
·  Analytical Mindset with problem-solving skills.
·  Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
·  Costumer oriented
·  Leadership skills
·  English must be Negotiation Level
·  Experience in agile project methodologies is a plus (i.e. SCRUM)
