Job Description

Improving a simulation engine and models.

 Die Abteilung „National Studies“ betreibt am Standort  Friedrichshafen anspruchsvolle simulationsgestützte Studienprojektarbeit und untersucht unter anderem den Einfluss von neuen und zukünftigen Technologien auf hochkomplexe Systeme im Verteidigungsumfeld.

·  Entwicklung / Verbesserung von ausgewählten Anteilen eines bestehenden Simulationsmodells
·  (Weiter-)Entwicklung von Simulations-Teilmodellen (z.B. Bewegungsmodelle für Flugzeuge, Formationsverhalten)
·  Portierung von Simulationsanteilen von Windows nach Linux

As an intern you will learn about                 

Grundlegendes Verständnis des Ablaufes einer komplexen Simulation. Modellierung von Fähigkeiten und Verhalten von Simulations-Einheiten. Nutzung von Algorithmen / Techniken aus der Spiele-Entwicklung in einer Simulationsumgebung. Software-Entwicklung mit C++ / Qt.

Your tasks

In Absprache mit dem Betreuer Arbeiten im folgenden Umfeld:

·  Entwicklung / Verbesserung von ausgewählten Anteilen eines bestehenden Simulationsmodells
·  (Weiter-)Entwicklung von Simulations-Teilmodellen (z.B. Bewegungsmodelle für Flugzeuge, Formationsverhalten)
·  Portierung von Simulationsanteilen von Windows nach Linux
·  Je nach Interessenslage / Fähigkeiten und Bedarf kann flexibel ein Thema definiert werden.

Sie besitzen

·  Programmierkenntnisse in C++
·  Programmierkenntnisse in Qt (optional)
·  Umgang mit Source-Verwaltungssystemen, Bugtrackern etc.
