As part of a school curriculum in initial training , you are looking for a mandatory internship that will allow you to validate your studies. The internship duration is 6 months maximum.

A work-study offer in IA algorithm development for autopilot maturity testing (m/f) has just been opened within Airbus on our Toulouse site where the internship is to take place.

This internship is to be filled from Feb 2020 to Sept 2020.

You will be joining the department Flight and Integration Tests and more precisely the Autopilot testing team which is in charge of developing and verifying systems and aircraft physics on

Simulators, before flight testing for final validation. This team is responsible of Autopilot integration tests, flights test analysis and lead innovation activities related to the discipline on all Airbus aircraft programs. Our top objective is to deliver higher safety standards, more mature products, innovative solutions, while rethinking our way of working.

The objective of the internship is to develop IA algorithms using GAN technology to improve our testing coverage and at the end improve drastically the maturity of our product. Using Airbus virtual platform, the internship consists in building algorithms able to train themselves using flight test data, or in service flight data.

You will be working under the supervision of your manager who will help you identify your professional objectives and support you in the development of your skills.

·  Tasks and Responsibilities :

Your main activities will include:

·  Inspired by the already developeding algorithm using GAN technology on last internship, prototype a new algorithm based on different sensors impacting autopilot function
·  Defining acceptability criteria using statistics or IA technics to verify the GAN’s outputs consistency
·  Deploying and integrating your algorithm on airbus virtual platform and on integrated simulators (A/C0 platform)

During your internship, you will have the great opportunity to fly on our test simulators of the different airbus commercial A/C. You will learn how the Airlines pilots operate the aircraft in real conditions and take part of simulator test sessions. Finally, you will be interacting with Airbus and external experts in the new data analytics methods.

·  Required skills :

You are preparing a diploma level Bac+ 5 Master or engineering school, in  engineering or equivalent, with aeronautical background, with following competences: :  artificial intelligence, data analytics.

- First experience in data analysis, GAN knowledge is a plus

- Good knowledge of aircraft sensors, Python coding

·  Soft skills:

- Rigorous, curious and autonomous

- Able to integrate into team and be a flexible team player: multi-team interaction is a key factor for this internship

- Able to analyses and synthesize information

- English: INTERMEDIATE

- French: INTERMEDIATE
